Frogware’s The Sinking City Switch gameplay revealed

Back in June Frogwares’ Lovecraftian love-letter, The Sinking City, coiled its tentacles around the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, while a Switch version was also whispered to be in the works for those who prefer their elder gods on-the-go. Frogwares has finally granted a look the game running on Nintendo’s console.

The Sinking City transports players back to the 1920s and into the well-worn boots of Charles Reed, a private investigator, plagued with nightmarish visions, who travels to the sleepy midwestern town of Oakmont, Massachusetts in hopes of finding a cure.
On arrival Lovecraft happens – you know what that means, cults, eldritch horrors and an ever-present sense of dread.

The first gameplay footage of The Sinking City on Switch showcases the moody open-world sleuth-em-up running on Nintendo’s console which Frogwares said was ‘ fun and interesting’ to work on.

The developer also revealed the port will have a number of Switch-exclusive features including touch and gyro controls, as well as numerous gameplay revisions and tweaks not seen in previous versions.

The Sinking City is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One and will be out soon for Switch.
