Punishing plague pelting RPG Thymesia launch date revealed – trailer

Team17 has announced that the debut game from Thai developer OverBorder Studio, the punishing action-RPG Thymesia, will be out for PC on 7th December.

Set in a once thriving kingdom now fallen to chaos, only the mysterious plague-masked Corvus – a half human, half raven hybrid – can unlock scattered memories and unravel the mysteries that lurk among the plague infected shadows. Charged with the possession of a pair of ravening weapons that can seize the plague from enemies and harness the abilities for himself, Thymesia’s shadowy protagonist is a ferocious adversary for the monsters that lurk in the gloom, combining acquired plague powers with perfectly timed parries and dynamic dodges to smite them.

While exploring the dark and deadly world of Thymesia, players will be able to seize diseases from enemies and wield them as deadly weapons while taking part in hard fought battles against hordes of mutated monstrosities, where dodging and parrying will be key for survival. (What do you call a Bloodborne clone, Blood-like, or Bornesque?).

With plenty of ways to customize Corvus to suit different playstyles, and multiple endings to unlock OverBoarder promise that no two playthroughs will be the same.
