A new personalisation pack for call of Duty Black Ops: III, which launches on September 8, will see its proceeds go to the Call of Duty Endowment Fund, which is expanding its operations to the UK.
Activision today announced The Call of Duty Endowment Double Duty Calling Card for Call of Duty: Black Ops III. The animated Calling Card shows a service member transform from a uniformed solider to a civilian on their way to work. The pack also includes three rare supply drops.All proceeds from the sales of the pack in the UK will go towards Endowment programmes that aim to find ex-servicemen decent jobs.
“Our expansion to the UK was a natural move–with a long-standing ally whose armed forces have served so closely with those of the US.” said Dan Goldenberg, Executive Director of the Endowment.
The Endowment fund was set up in the US in 2008 to provide grants to charities and groups that help to support veterans find decent jobs after they have left the armed forces..
The original goal of the fund was to help find 25,000 US vets gainful employment by the end of 2018, this figure was reached in 2016. The target is now 50,000 by 2019.
Thus far the fund has Provided more than £19 million in funding and other support to organisations, and helped place more than 37,000 U.S. veterans into full-time jobs.
