There’s only one way we play multiplayer. split screen FPS, we watch our opponents’ screens and cheat our way to victory. Oh like you don’t! And that is exactly the premise of Indie dev Samurai Punk‘s party split screen FPS; Screencheat. The game, which is already available on Steam has been announced for a summer release on Xbox One as part of the ID@Xbox program.
Screencheat is a chaotic, competitive, split screen FPS wherein all players are invisible. The only way in which to track them is to watch their screens. The initial prototype was revealed during the Global Game Jam in 2014 where it won an award for innovation, since then Samurai Punk teamed up with Surprise Attack Games and the full version of the game was developed for PC release.
Xbox One players can expect to find all new game modes as well as team play for existing modes. The console version will also support up to eight players playing on the same split screen for added chaos.
As well as this, Samurai Punk has also just released a free content upgrade for existing players on PC, Mac and Linux including; two new maps, two new game modes and additional weapons.
