iOS/Android Injustice Breaking News: Updates Give Surprise Challenge Hints… WTF?!

DC/NetherRealms have released some huge hints that suggest a host of new, but very unexpected characters for Injustice: Gods Among Us. Earlier today, the following update was provided for all iOS devices.

Thank you to Juan Robles for the screen shot!

The suggestions in the above announcement reveal that a new Solomon Grundy card-fighter in his boss suit will be available as well as Doomsday in his containment suit, which are both pictured below.

Second, fans have been loud with their critiques of Scorpion as a card-fighter. It looks like DC/NetherRealms have taken note and the next update will alter either his passive ability, stats, or both. There is no mention of altering Red Son Deathstroke’s devastating second level special attack or Green Arrow’s amazingly useful Freeze Arrow, which does not thaw if it successfully strikes an opponent.

Last, the announcement clearly suggests that more than one Challenge is on the horizon. Obviously, Killer Frost will not be available any time soon, but the announcement throws a huge curve ball into what was previously planned and confirmed. At this point, both Ares and Shazam seem to be on the back-burner and will be held back as playable characters on iOS devices.

DC/NetherRealm’s previous announcement of releasing Shazam, Red Son Green Lantern, and Red Son Batman appears to be scrapped and completely retooled. For now, fans should prepare themselves for newer Gold versions of previous characters, and even Darkseid and another Wonder Woman in her 600 skin. Regardless of the mixed signals sent out, WASDuk thinks everyone can agree that nobody saw Boss Grundy, Darkseid, 600 Wonder Woman, and Containment Doomsday teaming up to take out the gods we were told we were getting; bizarre.

  1. Pingback: iOS Injustice: New Challenge Stage Says, “SHAZAM!” | WASDuk

      • Yeah, our cohorts, like Man-Bat, Shining Knight, and Firestorm hacked the f$$k outta devices to get us this info. WASDuk is kinda like JL: International meets the Young Guns, but with My Little Pony as reserve members. Man, this one time the Ponies went completely ape-s//t on Key and Dr. Polaris. Were ain’t no living virgins left after dat, knowhattimsayin?!

          • Hey, Robert! I actually don’t hack. BUT, join the Facebook group IOS Alliance Credits Hub, because they offer all hacks and codes to members, okay?

    • Silver Raven is not available on any device unless you hack or jailbreak it. Hawkgirl will be available on Android devices in an upcoming Challenge. She is no longer available on iOS devices unless you hack. It sux! Sorry @_@

    • No, as the article notes, these skins are provided by hackers. They will become available once a month between March and July.

  2. How did you get some many power credits? Also, I would like to get an aquaman, hawkgirl, and a raven. I have the iOS version of injustice. Do you know of a way that I could get some of the things that I have listed?

    • Hey, BFE! Unfortunately, you may only get those cards IF NetherRealms repeats their Challenge Stages. IF they do not, then you can never get them. The other option is to jailbreak or hack your game. Try joining the Facebook group IOS Alliance Credits, and they’ll hook you up ;-)

      • Alright thank you, that helps a lot. Is there a hack that you would recommend? I’ve tried searching for some but most are a ton of surveys which aren’t much fun and take a long time to complete.
